CLIENT:
publicly listed global
gambling group

The Client was considering a joint venture to enter certain Eastern European market, as they were informed that the market is now open and the existing de-facto monopoly that was in place in the market has ended. The Client’s counterparty claimed that another licensed company recently entered the market.
TASK
4H Agency was tasked to provide a second opinion on the above premise regarding the existence of the de-facto monopoly.
ACTIONS TAKEN
We conducted research and analysis of regulatory documents and publicly available sources using OSINT-based approach. We found that the de-facto monopoly is still in place, as we were able to prove the connection between the existing licensee and the new licensed company
RESULTS
The Client has decided not to progress with the joint venture on the basis of false premise that was provided by its counterparty.
